    Hi

I have been trying to fault find on my website since I updated to version 2.1.45.

I have a Child theme and normally everything goes well, the Theme First then the Blocksy Companion.

However after installing the Theme update, my Header was all over the place, so thinking it might be because the plugin was not updated, but it was still the same so I rolled back both and the website was fine.

Thinking it might be the Child Theme I Activated the Parent Theme and tried it again in case the Child them was the problem, it was just the same, so rolled it back again.

Checked that there were no malware, that was clear, have not installed any new software or plugins since the last Blocksy update which went fine, php is up to date as is WordPress, was reading on here that there was a problem in the last update and it would be released soon, could this be the cause?

I will keep an eye open to see if anything comes out and will keep the version I have at the moment.

If you can think of anything that could be causing this would be greatful.

  • Hello @toby963

Could you provide a bit more detail about what went wrong? The request is a little vague at the moment – what specifically happened to the header?

Any screenshots or additional details would be really helpful.

    Hi Eduard

Please except my apologies, as I was taking screenshots of Pre Update and Post Update and everything is now fine!!! (I Installed the 2.1.45 Theme and Companion Update to take screenshots of the problem)

The joy’s of working with technology

The problem was that when I installed the latest updates, Theme & Companion the Header & Footer lost every change I had made.

I have a Child & Parent Theme and no matter what I did the Header & Footer were messed up and lost all the changes.

I have been using Blocksy for years and never had a problem, it must have been the server as I had cleared all the Cache’s.

Apology’s again and thanks for a great Theme.

    Toby

No worries, @toby963. Thank you for letting us know! 🙇‍♂️

    Have a good one,
    Eduard
