Theme twenty fourteen

    I am baffled as to how I can remove the unwanted menu in the horizontal (black) bar within theme twenty fourteen.

    The sidebar menu left needs to stay.

    Tried a few things but never found the right one.
    Who can help? Of course this is greatly appreciated.
