[Theme: Twenty Fifteen] content padding

Hello! I am a not-very-sophisticated WordPress user using the Twenty Fifteen theme. I love how simple and spare it is and have been using the Simple Custom CSS plugin to make a few tweaks, mostly about tightening up the empty space a bit. Currently it’s quite close to what I want, but I can’t figure out how to reduce the padding on the blog entries- inside them, yes, but the actual entry is contained in a white rectangle, and that rectangle has tons of blank space around it (through which the background image is visible). I’d like to reduce that blank space some. Where is this padding set up in the CSS?
