I love this theme but for some reason, the slider on the homepage takes way too long to upload. The rest of the page uploads fine but not the slider. Does this only happen with the free version? If so, will I get if I buy the PRO version and the issue remains unsettled?

There can be many reasons why that happens.

I think in your case, you need to optimize your photos before uploading them to your image slider.(Your first slider image has 21.9 MB !!! https://prnt.sc/jf5mu1) Please ,check out this guides: how to optimize your images for the web.
Using optimized images will help to create fast speed sliders.

OMGoodness! Your link worked like magic! Turns out my images were too large. I used the TinyPNG link and it instantly set me up with the appropriate images. My website started loading the slider immediately. Thank you for this!
