theme shortcode not working on event pages

The shortcodes built into my theme isn’t working on the event pages created by the Events Manager plugin. Any idea what’s going on there?

the short code code come up like it’s text:

[example shortcode that is suppose to do something cool]

hi, can I know where are you adding this? it might not worked on events details however you can try wordpress do_shortcode in EM templates or custom post templates

e.g. http://wordpress.org/support/topic/events-manager-eventslocation-pages-cant-get-sidebar?replies=22

are you putting these shortcodes around the CONTENTSword? If not, then the whole page is overwritten if it cant find mention of CONTENTS

Hmmmm … agelonwl, I’m sorry but I don’t know what do-shortcode is … I’ll google it.

Marcus … I don’t have CONTENTS on the page, I’ve done quite a bit of customizing, this is the code I’d like there.

[box type=warning]Registration is closed for our Winter/Spring 2013 semester. Please check back for future programme dates. [/box]

Is $Registration_is_closed_for is php variable? you can try something like this
```
echo do_shortcode('[box type=warning]'.$Registration_is_closed_for.' - our_Winter/Spring_2013_semester._Please_check_back_for_future_programme_dates'.'[/box]');
```

that’s probably the problem. Add CONTENTS to your page content, and your shortcode should appear, EM will then only replace the word CONTENTS with our content rather than the whole page
