• Dear Friends,
I need urgent help to get y theme “Beach-holiday” going. I signed up with WordPress.com and did not know that WordPress.org is different. I made a new personal URL with HostGator and made it work with a standard theme. I downloaded the “Delicious” script to my FTP account and changed the wp-content folder to include the “beach-holiday” theme. It worked but only a short while and then I was back to the old standard theme from World Press.com. Then I learned that the wp-config.php file needs to be set up with the database details. I did this and it worked again but only for a short time and the same old standard theme was back again. What am I doing wrong?
Do I need to delete the old blog set up on WprldPress.com where I paid $10 to have my personal URL showing?

My DNS information is as follows:
    ns1.wordpress.com
    ns2.wordpress.com
    ns3.wordpress.com
    ns1353.hostgator.com
    ns1354.hostgator.com

I have tried every possible combination here as well.

    Thankful for any help
    Mats

  • If you have your own domain, then you would NOT have any wordpress.com name servers for that domain so visit your domain registrar and delete the xxx.wordpress.com name servers and use just the hostgator name servers.
