    Hi,
I recently created a website using the current customizr wordpress theme. The site was up and running fine. However, the other day I started getting this server message that’s not allowing my site to function. It says “The active theme is broke. Reverting to the default theme.” How do I fix this. Can someone please help me.

  • Re-upload a fresh, unpacked, copy of the customizr folder to wp-content/themes using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

@esmi thanks. But now when I go to log into the backend of the site I get this exact message:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /home/charis12/public_html/www.chesterstudygroup.org/wp-content/themes/customizr.old/parts/class-footer-footer_main.php on line 173

I know it has something to do with the coding but I can’t log into the site to figure out what’s wrong with the coding. Can you help me?

Switch to the 2014 theme, delete the Customizr theme and re-upload a fresh copy.

Right up it’s not allowing me to login so I can switch the theme.

Try switching to the default theme by renaming:

    wp-content/themes/customizr

    to:

    wp-content/themes/customizrold

using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides. That will get you back into your site again.
