I would like to put a banner on my blog without using the built in header feature for the theme which would simply stretch the image I want to use out of all proportion.

I would like to put the banner directly above the RSS, Twitter, Facebook, and G+ buttons, but don’t know the code to use or where exactly to put it. I tried this on my own and sank my entire website, so now I’m asking for help from people who know what they’re doing.

    Thanks in advance.

  • i’m looking for a similar solution… i can’t find where the banner image is in the theme. or where it’s resizing depending on the window width and height. there are a few media queries in style.css but nothing regarding the changing height. the changing height is not css, it’s being written to the html that is served so it must be js or php, but i can’t find where either :/
