[Resolved] [Theme: Catch Box] Slider width too big

  • I’ve got another question on the featured slider:

I use the ‘full width disable sidebar template’. It seems to me that the maximum width of the Slider is bigger than 644px. Now the featured picture doesen’t fill the whole width anymore. Is there a possibility to fix this by e.g. setting a maximum width? Or by another way?

    Thanks for the great support!

    Hi SB,

You need to update this parameter in function.php

    add_image_size( ‘featured-slider’, 980, 400, true ); // Used for featured posts if a large-feature doesn’t exist

After that use the Thumbnail Regenerate plugin to regenerate the thumbnail. Then update your slider. It’s done.

    Great! Works fine. =)

    Thank you a lot!!

    Hi,

having the same problem I updated the add_image_size() in function.php as described above.
After clearing the cache new images are generated in ‘gallery/cache’ with following details:
    – dimension 980×400
    – Name: […]_crop_980x400_[…].jpg

Working fine up to this point. The problem is, that the slider still searches for images named “[…]_crop_644x320_[…].jpg” which do not exist as I declared a new dimension.

Is there a chance to update the Filename for the slider so he’s able to find the new generated images?

    Regards,
    Haefft

    Thanks really worked for me
