Theme broke my blog

I downloaded the Technologost theme from the word press list of themes and activated it just to try it out. I didn’t like it so I chose the default theme.
This broke my site with the following message:

February 27th, 2008 Fatal error: Call to undefined function: phpuserphoto_the_author_photo() in C:\Websites\real-estate-feedback.com\wp-content\themes\default\index.php on line 11

It works when I switch back to the technologist theme. I find that the footer is encrypted with links in it. I found this web site
Some kind of auction for links(in the footer of the technolgist blog????)
Any sugestions on how to fix my broken blog. I’m bummed
