The same “every page is the same” bug
-
It’s a Kubio’s classic already: with the exception of the homepage, my entire website now displays the same page, no matter what link you click, what formatting you change, or what menu settings you configure. Even recovering revisions doesn’t work. It happened simply because I “had the audacity” to copy a page (created with Gutenberg) and try to edit it in Kubio (making it Kubio-compatible). BOOM! Weeks and weeks of work to have a website where all the pages suddenly look the same.
Take a look at this forum: for almost FOUR YEARS, people have been commenting on the same problem and nothing changes. And someone said “no, no, this isn’t exactly a bug” – Oh, come on…
Why does this happen? Nobody knows. What actions trigger the bug? According to the forum, many, but nobody knows exactly which ones. It’s a mystery. Why haven’t we fixed this for years? Because screw this.
Even worse: the explanatory video, confusing and incomplete, that supposedly solves the problem, simply doesn’t apply to my case, since there are no options like those shown in the video in my interface. The logic behind it also doesn’t make sense.
The problem goes beyond poor programming and lack of proper support and bug handling; it lies in Kubio’s overall mentality. It doesn’t want to truly integrate or coexist with Gutenberg, nor add features to expand WordPress. It wants to overlay and replace the entire WordPress core base, being simultaneously a theme, a template library, an UI, and a website builder plugin.
At least 95% of my page content remains intact when switching themes, but I’m truly outraged to see all my hard work in Kubio thrown away in 2 seconds.
The “all pages on your site now become one same single page for no apparent reason and without a clear solution” bug is probably the worst bug of all time for a website builder, and it seems like nobody cares.
Please just let me know if I need to delete Kubio and find another theme/builder, or if there’s any chance that Kubio will work minimally as expected.
