“The REST API is one way WordPress, and other applications, communicate with the server. One example is the block editor screen, which relies on this to display, and save, your posts and pages.

The REST API request failed due to an error.

I’ve contacted my host and they said they’ve increased the PHP limit and everything is fine from their end.

  • Did they increase CURLOPT_CONNECTTIMEOUT and CURLOPT_TIMEOUT?

I’m sorry for not coming back. Yes, it was increasing.
But somehow I managed to resolve it.
I was also getting one more error about
    Zlib.output_compression enabled.

I made some configuration in my W3 total cache and security plugin and also disabled and enabled it again.

Perhaps it was the plugin causing the error.
