The Plugin Increases Site Load Time
-
I Just started selling wordpress themes on my blog, and for this I had to install easy digital downloads.
Before I installed the plugin my homepage loaded under 1 second and posts loaded in 2-3 seconds.
After Installing the plugin my homepage loads in 2-3 seconds and posts take forever to load.
I checked on pingdom and tests showed that this plugin is taking most of the time in site loading time.
This is reducing my site performance and conversation rates. Kindly help me how can I increase site load time as earlier.blog link http://www.hacknovations.org

I am sorry to say I will move to another plugin if the speed remains affected for some days and the issue isn’t resolved.
I suspect the issue is due to a conflict between EDD and one of the caching or minification plugins you have installed.
Deactivate the following and then run another test:
WP Super Minify
WP-Optimize
Speed Booster
W3 Total Cache
Rocket Lazy LoadWhile each of those plugins is designed to improve performance, they are generally do not play well together and combining all of them together like you have will actually severely hurt the performance of your site, not improve it.
Please deactivate those plugins then run another test.
If that does not make a difference, please do this:
1. Deactivate every plugin, including EDD. Run a pingdom test and record the results.
2. Activate only EDD and run another pingdom test.
3. Compare the results from step 1 and 2. How are they?I don’t have so much ample time to do all this stuff. All I Know is site was working well before and whatever happened, after plugin installation.
So, better I install it on another to site and sell themes thereDiagnosing issues like this take time, there’s no other way around it. In order to track it down, you have to take the time to test out each of your plugins for compatibility issues.
Easy Digital Downloads is used across more than 40,000 sites and cases like this are exceptionally rare. When it happens, it is nearly always due to a plugin conflict.
I would definitely recommend testing each of the “performance” plugins you have because I can almost guarantee you that combining all of those together is doing far more harm than good.
Testing for performance in this case is very simple: just deactivate the plugins I mentioned above and see what happens. That takes no more than a few minutes at most.
To be blunt, if you have time to open a ticket and express that you’re having problems, you have time to test deactivating a couple of plugins.
Thanks for your kind words.. I will do this tonight
Let me know what you find!
