The page cannot be found

    I just installed WP on a local server (localhost). After install I key in http://localhost/wordpress/wp-admin/install.php and get:

    The page cannot be found….HTTP 404 – File not found…

    No matter what I run (index.php, wp-login.php). I was able to run install.php and even upgraded to the latest release (don’t know what that was because I can’t open WP) last week. Then I started to get this and cannot figure it out.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Update.

    When I enter the above URL I get a window to do a File Download. When I click Open I get a hour glass for about 5 seconds then nothing. The prior post was incorrect with the 404 error.

    Looks like PHP isn’t working. Check it out.
