The editor looks ‘weird

    “Has this happened to anyone else?

    I updated WordPress to version 7. At first, the famous white screen appeared when trying to publish a new post, which I managed to fix by switching browsers. However, why is the editor font so small?

    Just to note, I’ve already disabled all plugins, cleared the cache, and did a manual reinstall.”

    Which theme do you use and did you try to change it as a test?

    “I am using a theme I downloaded from WordPress.org itself, but I tested it using Twenty Twenty-Five and the editor is fine.

    Okay, and which theme is causing this issue? If it works with TT5, you should contact the support team for the theme you’re using so they can make it compatible with WordPress 7.0.

    From what I’ve noticed, this will happen with about 80% of the themes. I tested it with a default WordPress theme, as well as Astra, Kadence, and GeneratePress, and the problem doesn’t happen with those. But for others like Newscrunch, .it seems we’ll need to get in touch with their support team.

    I experienced the same and the fonts are weird because the editor is trying to use your theme styles, just go to Preferences > Appearances > Turn off use theme styles.

    Yes, I can see that now on Newscrunch. But that’s all I’ve seen so far. There’s actually a lack of compatibility with changes in WordPress 7.0, which needs to be addressed by the theme developer.
