'Thank you' message and Google analytics does not work

It seems Contact form 7 does not work well with google analytics as some have mentioned. When configuring event tracking in accordance with the CF7 instructions, the thank you message does not appear (it keeps “loading” for the user, but the email gets sent). When removing the event tracking the thank you message works fine.
