Install Local from http://localwp.com. After installing the application, you’ll have a working version of WP up and running in under 5 minutes.
OK, Thanks.
Now I have local loaded on my computer.
How do I get WordPress to function now?
Like I said in the previous message, I need every step in this process.
Bob
OK, you are thinking way above where I am at with WordPress and Local.
I know nothing about both. I want to try out WordPress before I decide if it is what I want to use to create my sites.
Where do I go to launch wordpress so I can play with it and see how it works?
Step by step, keystroke by keystroke. Until I can see exactly how it is done, It is like trying to look through mud to me.

If you click on the menus in Local, you’ll see how to install and access WordPress.
I see no menus that are showing me to do that.
I have a screen shot to send but can’t attach it here.

Hey @davet354tfd,
If you just want to test and get familiar with WordPress then follow the below article link:

Hope it helps…Cheers!!!

Thanks for the reply. The group that I am doing this for got signed up through AWS.
Was finally able to figure out how to get into the system. Been poking around in it for 2 days now.
I see that there are different themes and stuff like that available.
I have selected one, but am having difficulty changing things in it.
I have done web pages before using GoDaddy and their web software.
I understand that WordPress is not like that as far as I can see, but I am willing to learn.
I need a tutorial on how to create web pages in WordPress basically. We don’t need anything fancy. No Blogs at the moment.
Thanks for your help.
