Test S3 Settings fail – S3 region

    Hi, I have just configured exactly the same UpdraftPlus set-up for my new website as for previous ones. Same S3 access and secret key. But on testing I get: 

    S3 settings test result: Failure: We could not successfully access or create such a bucket. Please check your access credentials, and if those are correct then try another bucket name (as another S3 user may already have taken your name).

The error reported by S3 was: The authorization header is malformed; the region 'us-east-1' is wrong; expecting 'eu-west-1'

    I’ve already used the bucket name before, successfully. But just in case, I’ve tried some random ones to no avail here. So thinking it’s to do with the region. Any and all ideas most welcome. Thanks in advance.

    Hi,

    Two things to help us:

    1) In the ‘advanced tools’ tab, what does it show as your PHP version?

    2) What is the access policy attached to the IAM user that you’re using?
