Test area with same domain

    Hi

    Perhaps someone can help me with my catch 21 situation.

    I have a website with one Server and I am developing a new one for the same domain name but I want to use another server.
    When I set the new server I explained that I wanted to keep online the one I have now and have a testing area for the new one. But now They say because I’m installing WP I have to point the domain to their server so, I wouldn’t have a change to test the new website.

    Is there a way I can keep the ‘old’ website online while I am testing the new one? I tried to create a subfolder in the new server but when I try to access the wp-admin or the site it leads me to the ‘old website’.
    What should I do?

    You cannot use the same domain name on two servers, no. You could either install WP in a sub-folder on the existing server and make the new site there or get a new domain name on the new server.
