    Hi everybody !

    Dunno if anyone else posted this, but I have a temporary solution regarding images not uploading.

    Very simple.

    Create your gallery with nggallery. Then upload your pictures via FTP to new or existing gallery.

    Now manage the gallery and click Scan the folder for new images.

    Yeah you gotta jump through some hoops, but it works well.

    Good luck.

    @doublesixx – Thank you for providing that workaround. What is concerning for us, is users having to ‘jump through hoops’. We want to avoid having users have to do that, but rather find a solid working solution the easier way (through the dashboard upload interface). What we have found is that most upload issues are resolved by resetting permalinks. Go to Settings >> Permalinks and select ‘Post Name’ > Save changes. Clear your browser cache & reload your site. That hopefully will also work for you. One other road-block you may be experiencing is permission issues, check with your server host that:
    – /wp-content has 755 permissions + all subdirectories
    – PHP Safe Mode is turned off
    – The mod_rewrite Apache module enabled

    It may also be that you’re experiencing an HTTP error which is a server+flash issue. For that, you’ll want to check with your server host and also double check you’re running the latest version of flash on your computer.

    Hope that helps!

    @becky,

    Big thanx !

    I changed the Permalinks (which I never use), on my test server and I could upload.

    OK gonna pull the trigger on my main site.

    Sadly NextGEN Gallery Search plugin doesn’t work with the latest update.

    You guys should consider implementing a Gallery search.

    I have over 1,400 albums. No way to search with the stock nggallery.

    Also need to be able to upload zips via URL.

    So the 2.0.11 is unusable to me =(, I removed within a few minutes.

    I left the Permalinks change in case you guys include what I mentioned. Doubt it’ll happen.

    Dunno why you removed uploading zip files via URL =(.

    Oh well hope you guys continue to improve the product.

    I’ll probably be stuck with the 1.9.13 version.

    Thanx for everything, have a great weekend.

    where do you find this “Scan the folder for new images” command?

    Dashboard

    Gallery->Manage Gallery

    Click any Gallery.

    The very first box, the button is next to the Save Changes button.

    Good luck.
