I still have the same issue. I’m not sure what’s causing it but it’s very frustrating.
I will look into it again. Will reply here when I find a solution.
So far I haven’t been able to recreate this issue on any installs I have tried.
Since this bug seems to only affect a very small number of installs could you two give me more info on the kind of hosting you are using etc. Anything that might make you install unusual?
Since this appears to be a hosting issue, please also reach out to your hosting provider and ask what could be the issue. Please also report back if they are able to help out so I can fix the issue.

Unfortunately, I can’t find a connection.
I have tried the plugin on three different sites, each on a different hosting account (2 shared hosting accounts from one provider and 1 account on a VPS).
Site 1 – older version of php, wordpress 5.5.1, shared hosting – doesn’t work at all, never saves the template.
Apache Version 2.4.46
PHP Version 7.0.33
MySQL Version 10.1.46-MariaDB-cll-lve
Site 2 – older version of php, wordpress 5.2.7, shared hosting – works perfectly, saves every time it seems.
Versiune Apache 2.4.46
Versiune PHP 7.0.33
Versiune MySQL 10.2.33-MariaDB-cll-lve
Site 3 – on a VPS, wordpress 5.5.1 – sometimes it saves, other times it gives an error, usable if I insist.
Apache Version 2.4.46
PHP Version 7.3.22
MySQL Version 5.6.47
All sites have 20-30 active plugins. I deactivated all other plugins on the site where WP Shopper doesn’t work at all, and it still doesn’t save the template, so I assume it’s not related to them.
I’m not seeing anything obvious that could explain the issue, but I’m not sure what other info I can give you.
I will try asking the host as well.
@techlemming Thanks for the info! What error do you get on the VPS?
@techlemming Could you show me the console logs for all 3 websites when you try to save a template? You can remove the domain names if you want.
The message is the same:
Site 1, never works: https://i.imgur.com/kyXAmOA.png
Site 2, doesn’t give any message when it saves.
Site 3, when it doesn’t work, it gives this message: https://i.imgur.com/Yb45iAb.png
That wp-json directory that’s mentioned in the error, is not present in the main directory, so I’m not sure if that’s the reason for the error, or if it works in a different way than I imagine and it has no connection.
Sorry for not being able to help more. I will likely change hosting in the near future, and I hope that will fix it.
@techlemming Thanks a lot for helping me debug this.
Could you send me a quick email to wpws[at]protonmail.com? I have a couple more questions and I think this way we can solve it faster.
Found the bug. Plugin will be updated in the coming days with a fix for this issue. Thanks for your patience!
Just released an update that should have fixed this issue. Please let me know if you run into any further problems.
