• I am trying to use the template parts and mostly failing.
I want to make buttons using the Event website links.
I read the documentation: “The Events Calendar Template Files”

I succeeded in the single page when I added a button to:
    [my_theme]/tribe-events/modules/meta/details.php

However I then tried to get the same thing in the listings by editing:
    [my_theme]/tribe-events/v2/list/event/description.php
I tried echoing “Hello World” but it had no effect

    What am I doing wrong?
    Many thanks

    Hello
    I gave up on description.php
Now I am trying shortcode tamplates

    I edited [my_child_theme]tribe-events/shortcodes/minimal-list/minimal-list.php
    and it worked immediately

I then tried the same with [my_child_theme]tribe-events/shortcodes/list/list.php
    It had absolutely no effect

    Please advise
    Much appeciated

    Hi @olimax,

    Thanks for reaching out!

To point you to the right template, could you send me:

    1. A screenshot of the page, with the section you’d like to customize highlighted or circled
    2. The URL of that page, so I can inspect it directly

It would also help to know what you’d like to change, whether it’s the layout, the wording, which fields appear, or the styling. Some of those can be handled with CSS or a setting rather than a template override, which would save you the maintenance.

    Looking forward to your reply.

    Hi @olimax

I hope everything is going smoothly for you. I just wanted to touch base and inquire if you had the opportunity to review my previous response as it has been some time since we last heard from you.
