I’m getting the usual “There doesn’t seem to be a wp-config.php file” error when I view my site after an auto-install from my server/hosting package. The DB password etc. is already configured.
Do you think that I’m getting the error because the new DNS changes for the domain that WP is installed on haven’t gone through yet, and I’m viewing it from the temporary domain? (host/IP address)
I should probably wait until the transfer is complete before I attempt to work on it, ya think?
    Thanks much!

you sure you renamed wp-config-sample.php to wp-config.php ?

Some hosts do not activate a whole account when you are still using the temp url. Files other than index may well not run.

Yup, there was already a wp-config.php file in there, with all of the required DB info (password, DB name) entered already.
Yes, might as well wait to see what happens when the dns change goes through.
    Thanks guys,
