Temp Bin Locations

Is there a way to create temporary bins for picking multiple items until the order is completely picked? I would like to pick items (finished items) in one warehouse then have a staging area to store items in temporary bins and pick items from another warehouse (created on demand item) and merge them into the temporary bins and know when completed. Any advice on how to do this would be appreciated.
