Taxonomy custom slug not working

    $post_type/cars/$term_slug

    I post the above into the custom taxonomy archive. The tag cloud widget creates:

    posttype/termslug/

    It omits the slug “cars”. If you put it in you get a 404. If you put in “tax” it works perfectly. It seems like it’s either the default or it doesn’t work.
