We have a live wordpress site that runs tablepress.
We have a new developmental site (which is a clean copy of the live site)
When we export tablepress data from the existing live site and import to the new site we find shortcodes have been changed. As a result tables that linked together are now linking haphazardly.
We have searched for this issue on the forum without an answer.
Can we export and import without shortcodes changing? I appreciate your help and will be happy to donate to help future development of Tablepress.`

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

I’m not sure that I understand. What do you mean with “Shortcodes have been changed”? Can you please explain that with an example?

    Regards,
    Tobias

Hi Tobias, thanks for your quick reply>
    31 TDTNG3141.csv
    Edit | Show Shortcode | Copy | Export | Delete | Preview
In our ‘live’ site this table has a shortcode of 31
when it is exported and then imported into the new site (under construction) it has a shortcode of 2. The order of the tables has been changed.
It needs to have the same shortcode when it is imported into the new site
The tables link up to product pages so shortcodes must be the same before and after export/import.

    Hi,

ah, ok, you mean the table ID.

To maintain the same table IDs, please export the tables to the JSON format on the old site, and then import the .json file on the new site. If the desired table ID is not yet used on the new site, it will be kept as that from the old site.
