    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

How exactly did you migrate, i.e. what did the backup files contain?

Do you still have access to the old site? If so, you could export the tables from there again, within TablePress, to the JSON format, and then import those files on the new site.

    Tobias

    Hi Andy,

ok, the SQL database file and the WordPress XML export are good starting points here. With those, it should be possible to restore the tables.

To find out if the table data is in your database (and only the relationship between the table ID and internal WordPress post ID went missing), you can use the small plugin from https://tablepress.org/download/extension/tablepress-debug.zip
This will add a “TP Tables” entry in the admin menu, which should show all tables in their raw format. If that page then shows all your tables, we can continue with restoring the mentioned relationship via the “Debug” tab in TablePress.

    Tobias

    Hi,

ok, what’s a bit strange is that this Plugin Option is there, but the tables are not …

Do you see a “TP Tables” entry in the main admin menu on the left? When you open that, do you see a list of your tables?

    Regards,
    Tobias

    Hi,

ok, then the migration didn’t take into account the tables for some reason.
Can you maybe send me the XML file by email (the address is in https://tablepress.org/impressum/ )? I’ll check if I can extract the table data from that.

    Regards,
    Tobias
