I tried to install a new theme and received the following error page. Since then I cannot do anything anymore. Can anybody help?

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_FUNCTION in /srv/wu-taichi.de/wordpress/wp-content/themes/flat/functions.php on line 66

    Thanks so much in advance.

  • Hi there,

It’s okay 🙂 You’ll just need to access your website file directories. You can use either FTP of your hosts cPanel to access the files.

Navigate to the wp-content/themes/ directory. Once there, find the folder named “flat”, and rename (or delete) it.

This will force WordPress to quit trying to use that theme; and will instead load the default WordPress theme.

Since you will now be able to login to your amdin panel; you can go back and select a different theme.
