Hi, Thanks for the plugin. From your website –… and you can add custom synonyms in one click, no code required.

Where is the synonym dictionary in your plugin? Also fuzzy search doesn’t appear to be working. I type ‘hydranga’ and would expect to see results for ‘hydrangea’ but nothing comes up.

    Hi,

Thank you for reaching out and for using NivoSearch.

Regarding synonyms and fuzzy search, thank you for sharing your example. Feedback like this is extremely valuable and helps us improve the search experience for WooCommerce stores.

We’re currently working on several search enhancements, including improved synonym handling and more intelligent typo-tolerant matching. The example you mentioned (“hydranga” → “hydrangea”) is exactly the kind of search experience we want to support.

These improvements are planned for an upcoming update of Ajax Search for WooCommerce (NivoSearch), and we’re excited to make the search experience even smarter and more accurate.

We truly appreciate your support and patience. If you have any other suggestions, examples, or feature requests, please feel free to share them with us.

    Best regards,

    Nazmun Sakib

Thanks for the quick reply. Some further feedback would be- don’t advertise features that are not currently implemented. It wastes users time looking for features in the plugin that are advertised but don’t yet exist, also leading to distrust.

    Hi,

    Thank you for your feedback.

Fuzzy Search and Typo Tolerance are available in the current version of NivoSearch. You can learn more about how they work in our documentation:

Regarding your example (hydrangahydrangea), thank you for reporting it. While the search engine handles many common misspellings, there are still cases where matching can be be improved. Examples like yours are extremely helpful, and we’re continuously refining the algorithm to make fuzzy matching more accurate in future updates.

We appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback. It helps us make NivoSearch better for everyone.

    Best regards,

    Nazmun Sakib
