• Hi,

I have 4 wordpress sites, between which I would like the blog posts to be syncronized (including tags, files etc.)… only blog posts, not the pages.

Anyone got a good plugin or a solution for this.

You can look up broadcasting plugins, however please keep in mind that this will be totally terribly awful for your SEO and kill your page ranking.

    Duplicate Posts Are Bad.

thx – its for an internal system only, so no seo worries 🙂 just worries about syncing posts in a good way between 4 wp sites/systems

Duplicating posts (i.e. broadcast) isn’t hard. Syncing content is.

Hi Mika, now I have tried, but seems I can only find broadcast plugins which work on multisite… any input… since I want to sync between blogs not running on same server…? The servers can however all see each other, and access each others filesystems…

You are not running multisite if you’re not running your blogs on one server.

Multisite = One install, on one server, multiple blogs.

Exactly… I need a broadcast plugin for seperate blogs on seperate servers, where The servers However Can see each other.

Right, then you’re in the wrong location to ask for that 😉 This subforum, Multisite, is for … Multisite. Not multiple, separate server, sites.

I’ll move this to general WP.

Contact your web host and discuss is good advise….

Don’t understand… as I see it it is quite simple… I have 4 different wordpress installations – like small intranets. The blog page is like a corporate blog, which I would like to be syncronized across all 4 sites… either via RSS, XML, or anything… Just the blog posts should be synced, because the pages vary from site to site, but layout, css etc. is 100% the same.

So – basicly – a replication feature, or sync feature of posts between seperate installations of wordpress, where the sites are installed on servers, which are able to see each other internally on the network.

    … anyone…

    Hassing,

I would use RSS. Each WP site comes with RSS feeds by default, so its a case of picking your primary site to serve the posts from and installing a feed on the other three sites.

Let me know if you need help with the feed implementation. There are plenty of RSS feed plugins available.
