The plugin on our site don’t remove products who no longer is available when it sync to Facebook, so now 1/3 of the products in Facebook is wrong. No problem in adding new products. What are we doing wrong here?

Hi there @greatdanes
Thank you for reaching out about this. From what I gather, products from your WooCommerce store are still appearing in the feed at your Facebook page, even after being out of stock. Correct?
Just to clarify, the current setting for the Out of stock visibility option, is Hide out of stock items from the catalog, or otherwise? The option can be found at the WooCommerce > Settings > Products > Inventory section.
For some further options on hiding out-of-stock products in your WooCommerce installation, feel free to check out the article linked here.
To help you further, Iโd like to understand more about your setup.
Could you please send me a copy of your siteโs System Status? You can find it via
WooCommerce > Status. SelectGet system reportand thenCopy for support.Once youโve done that, you can paste the text in https://gist.github.com/, or https://pastebin.com/, and feel free to change/remove your site URL in the report for privacy reasons.
You can paste the Gist/Pastebin link here in your reply, once you have that.
Thank you. ๐
Hi
We would like to have products that are sold out as long as we can still get them back in stock, but not products that we cannot get more of.
These products which we can no longer obtain and which we remove from the webshop, we would like to have these removed from synchronization to Facebook so that they are not displayed.
This is not currently happening-

Hello @greatdanes
Thank you for reaching back, explaining things further.
To help you further, Iโd like to understand more about your setup and, to that end, the site’s System Status Report (SSR) is of great help.
Just to clarify, are the removed-and-still syncing products variable, trashed and then restored from trash, or their stock inventory changed in bulk?
Looking forward to your response, thank you. ๐
When we remove a product from the webshop, we keep the item as a draft and do not delete it.
These product drafts don’t seem to be removed from Facebook sync anymore. It has worked, because it is only approx. 1,600 items out of approx. 3,500 items that are currently saved as drafts that still appear in the Facebook synchronizationHope this is right ๐ https://pastebin.com/fXT6zxUm
Hello @greatdanes,
Switching the product to draft removes it from the catalogue on my test site so this is probably not a bug.As a first step, would you please enable logging, try to manually sync, and then share the log for me to review?
To do so, please follow the below steps:- Head to Marketing > Facebook.
- Enable debug mode at the bottom of the screen and save the settings.
- Repeat the steps to replicate the error.
- Head to WooCommerce > Status > Logs.
- Choose the Facebook log from the dropdown and click the “View” button to display the log. Please note that the log may be in UTC/GMT time, so it may be offset by a few hours.
- Copy and paste the log into https://gist.github.com/
Look forward to hearing back from you.

Thank youHi, @greatdanes
Sorry for asking, can you please Navigate to WooCommerce > Settings > Products > Inventory (tab) And please provide us a screenshot of what you see on there?

There is one issue reported (and will be fixed soon), that could be related to this, please check: Out of stock products not syncing to Facebook when “Hide out of stock items from the catalog” is enabled
Can you confirm if the Hide out of stock items from the catalog is enabled on your settings?

Hi, @rifedesign89
Please create your own thread for your issue โ https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/facebook-for-woocommerce/#new-topic-0. This is in order to provide you with better assistance, please also note that the issue could be the same, but your site configuration could be different.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Hi
At the moment that’s not checked and that’s because that will hide products who is under way back into getting in stock again. You can have products who is temporarily sold out and will get back in stock + products who don’t – why can’t you have these temporarily sold out in there?
I want to remove products that’s unpublic but keep as a draft in the WooCommerce from Facebook not the temporarily sold out ones aswell…
The issues is that the plugin can’t figur out / look at – what is made public and what it’s unpublic as I see it.

After I check it off and ran a sync – I now got 4600 products in the Facebook katelog instead of around 1600 so it have added almost 1500 drafts instead of removing those 1500 who was there already and shouldn’t be there…

Hi there @greatdanes
Thank you for reaching back, elaborating further on your needs and what has happened.
Just to note, the Facebook Product Sync sidebar box is able to perform basic validation of the product. In case a problem is detected, the information about the problem will be displayed in the box. For example, not published products are not synchronized to the Facebook Catalog. Linked here is the related documentation on this.
From what I gather, your installation is currently troubled by this issue, my colleague linked to, and a solution is already on track to be released soon.
I trust that points you in the right direction, but if you have more questions, let us know. We’re happy to help.
This was made available in v3.0.12.
