Switching from existing host to WordPress

Howdy folks,

Before I had a WordPress account, I bought my existing domain through GoDaddy – and now that it’s up for renewal, I thought it’s probably best to put all my eggs in one basket and switch over to WordPress for my hosting needs too.

I’ve bought a domain through WordPress before for another project, but for an existing domain – switching from GoDaddy to WordPress exclusively – is that something that can be done?

Apologies if I’m unclear or asking a dumb question.
