Switching Environments

Hi all

I’m hoping someone can help.

I have taken over a website created by someone else, and they used multiple environments: development, staging and production.

I entered in all the relevant information – such as database name, username, password, host etc .. but I wasn’t able to connect.

I used the code from here:
http://www.paulund.co.uk/multi-environment-wordpress-wp-config-php

and I was able to connect and got the website up without any problems… (although on my local one I’m getting errors!)

But my question for now is how do I switch from environments?
Has any one done something similar to this?
