Switch to default language not working

Hi!

I have a weird behavior that I believe has appeared recently in a website with polylang; this website has 6 languages, and a language switcher in the frontend :

– French (DEFAULT)
– English
– German
– Portuguese
– Italian
– Spanish

Let’s say my browser is in English, and I’m redirected automatically to /en/ . When i try to change to the french version, i’m always redirected to the /en/ version, and the switch to french doesn’t work. HOWEVER: if i go to the settings, and remove the “Hide URL language information for default language” setting, everything works properly.

Is this a known problem ? Can I do something to solve the problem ? For now I’ve left the setting deactivated in order not to have this issue, but I’d rather eventually go back to the version without language information for the default language for SEO-related reasons.
