• Hi guys,

My football club hosts a darts tournament once a year.
Over the years the amount of players kept increasing and we recently hosted 166 players on 22 dartboards. The sheer amount of games doesn’t allow for our usual administration anymore (Java-based software running on a single computer).

Therefore, I’m looking for a more interactive cloud-based solution.
As I have some experience with WordPress, I’m wondering whether my whole plan is feasible with existing themes and plugins.

My detailed plan can be found here if you’re in for a read 😉 https://docs.google.com/document/d/1c9bPq56FHZcqRtUEGe79sCQi-DuN7KkMNqFP9zPzjeE/edit?usp=sharing

The main reason for this thread is to ask whether there is a plugin that offers the functionality to gather data (like game results) from the users, work with the provided data based on certain rules and then define where, what and how you want to output the data in the frontend. The goal is to recreate the Swiss system tournament mode as there is currently nothing alike out there.

It may sound very confusing, but I really don’t know how to better explain it. Please ask if anything is unclear and I will gladly provide more information.

Thanks in advance for potential feedback 🙂

  • Certainly feasible.
No particular theme requirements, I would suggest that you keep your options open by choosing one that is responsive, initially be specific as to which devices and screens you will support.

Suggest that you spend some time browsing the plugins archive, searching on key words etc. Being able to browse and read everyone’s contributions is a big plus.
