    Hi @alriksson,

Firstly, thank you for your interest in my plugin SVG Support!

The plugin did originally support SVGZ, but currently they don’t seem to upload… likely due to the recent changes in core with mime types and file checks.
I made sure SVG works as that is what the majority of people use.
SVGZ also comes with some server and browser support issues. So I’m not sure at this point if they will be supported again or not.
I have a few other things I need to work on in the plugin before addressing this, but I will look into it again.

I’ve only just got out of hospital after a nasty snowboarding accident so it might not be for a little while.

    Cheers
    Ben

    Gotcha!
At this stage, it works pretty fine for me but maybe my .htaccess and functions.php tweaks did the thing and not your plugin.

Sorry to hear that you went out of an accident get better! Let me know when you will be able to fix SVGZ so I know for the future. What kind of problems do browsers have with SVGZ? Firefox, Chrome and Safari rendering it well as I can see?

    Thanks

    I’ll keep you posted.
Here is a post that, while old, might provide a little insight about gzip compression on SVG files and how you don’t really need to do it before uploading.
I can’t really find much else at the moment about it, I just remember when I first wrote the plugin that it wasn’t a big thing to be using the SVGZ. Nevertheless, I will be looking into it because it would be more user friendly if it supports both versions.

I’m going to mark this as resolved for now and say that , currently this plugin does not fully support SVGZ. It is on the map for possible future features (fix really, since it used to work).
