    I found this in debug.log:

    [11-Aug-2026 13:39:15 UTC] PHP Warning: simplexml_load_file(): /home/internl/public_html/wp-content/uploads/2026/08/OOX_project.svgz:1: parser error : Start tag expected, ‘<‘ not found in /home/internl/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-svg-images/wp-svg-images.php on line 427

    [11-Aug-2026 13:39:15 UTC] PHP Warning: simplexml_load_file(): (%{jProject_2.svg in /home/internl/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-svg-images/wp-svg-images.php on line 427

    [11-Aug-2026 13:39:15 UTC] PHP Warning: simplexml_load_file(): ^ in /home/internl/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-svg-images/wp-svg-images.php on line 427

    I don’t know when this happens because the images seem to work well.

    Hello @islp ,

    Thank you for your message and for letting us know about this!

    While this doesn’t impact uploading SVGZ files in any way, the plugin shows those warnings in the logs unless a normal SVG image is uploaded.

    No worries, I’ve noted this down so we can work on a fix for the next plugin update! In the meantime you can use the plugin as usual! 🙂

    All the best,
