Suspicious “system” entries

    Hi,

    Since I installed the plugin I see login attempts but “system” appears in the user with the wordpress logo, it is not clear to me if they are attempts from outside or what they are.

    Example
    10 failed login(s)

    The IP changes

    Thank you

    Hello @davidoceans

    Thank you for using our plugin.

    The plugin reports “system” when the reported action is done by the system or when no user can be associated with such an action.

    So in your case you are seeing failed logins that are most probably being generated automatically but not by a user. As such this is very normal. We’ve written an article about this which is a good read and answers your question: handling failed WordPress login attempts.
