• Hi folks,
    We would like to suppress the user name on single ad display. Is the only (correct) way to create a custom layout? … or use css to “hide” the the info via the CSS rule?:
    .terraclassifieds-author {
    display: none;
    }

    I look forward to hearing from you 🙂

    Hi

    Thank you for contact.
    You can make your custom layout but your change is so small that I think you can just add CSS to hide this element.

    Thanks ML. I appreciate the response.
    I’ll follow your advice and do this.

    I wonder if it could be worth making this an optional item to display as a feature? Especially for privacy issues, this may be useful for other users as well. the “Report Abuse” could also be an optional field to display. Food for thought 🙂

    Cheers!

    Hi ML,
    I don’t see this feature in the latest update. Did it fall through the cracks?

    Hi,
    This feature has not been added to this update. However, we also think it’s a good idea to make Report Abuse optional and already have it on our “to do” list for the next updates.

    Thanks for using TerraClassifieds.

    Thanks Izabela. Good to hear it’s on the todo list :0

    If many of the items displayed on the single ad were made optional (in single.php), this would be a great feature.

    For instance, in our case we only display the title, description, price and contact form (no avatar, no location, no name or email address)… all for security/privacy reasons…. and to keep things simple and clean.

    We’ve had to hack single.php in combination with many CSS changes to accomplish this, and as you know, for maintenance reasons, neither are solid solutions.

    Keep up the good work! This extension is very good and has potential to be great!

    Thank you for such kind words, and I appreciate your suggestions.
    Also, thank you for your patience, the plugin is completely new and we are going to develop it step by step releasing updates with new features and bug fixes regularly.

    Izabela
