Have you checked WP Super Minify Settings to make sure that Compress javascript and Compress CSS are ticked/checked.

@gnomag I think you misunderstood how minification works. I have checked your page source and can see around 3% of your code has already been minified through this plugin.
This plugin only minifies in-line javascripts. I can see that the files PageSpeed Insights suggesting are not minified which you’ve to do at your own. No plugin can do this automatically.
Eg: http://www.bigears.net.au/wp-content/themes/firmness/js/supersubs.js

Thankyou. You are right that I don’t understand how minification works. All I know is that Google Page Speed Insights said that there was a problem with it so I searched for a plugin and ended up with yours. (lucky you :)).
I will remember next time that when I am looking for a theme to use to make sure that it is minifiable (if there is such a word).
Being time poor means that this will go on the backburner for now.
Thanks for your help anyway and it is good to see that your plugin is doing what it is meant to so in that case I better go and rate it.
