Suggestions Please on Categories

Hello there, we have a website that I am involved in. Has some 800 products, cabinet depot type store. after setting up the store, the ‘mother ship’ if you will has decided to add a different series of cabinets. So we have an Elite Series and all pricing is relevant to that series. the Economy series will have most if not all of the same products except more expensive (better quality). I am having a hard time trying to eliminate having to add all these extra products manually. Are there plugins that would allow me to almost duplicate the items and put them in a new top category being Economy Series. I can adjust the pricing with a bulk product updater.
