Suggestion: Search *Include* Categories

Hello! So happy to see this fork! The customizable search results pages are so great. However, the search only works to exclude categories not include and we have like 40 categories so to search in 1 means excluding 39 and it is a real pain to set up. If I add a new category I have to edit all my search forms everywhere across my site to exclude it. Also, the url of the search results is so long listing all excluded categories I don’t need people to see.So my suggestion for improvement is to add an include category option for the searches. Plus for some reason, the Restrictions & Filters part takes up to minute to open and I have to click wait over and over. I have screenshots if you’d like any. So glad you are saving this plugin 🙂 Thank you!

Hi Randy, I updated my test site directly from EE to LTEE 3.0 and it did appear to mess up all my current exclude search results, however I want include, so I opened the Restrictions and Filters, waited 30-45 seconds (normal) and clicked Wait a few times (normal) deleted what was in there and chose Include and the category, super easy and the results are correct. I didn’t test what would happen if I deleted all and set up exclude again. I tested 2.5.0 earlier and I thought exclude search results worked fine, I’d need to confirm that recollection but if you can replicate seems something in the update to 3.0 disrupted existing exclude search results? I will make a screen recording and post if you’d like to see what I see. Or I can start a new topic about the disruption to existing searches since the include is technically now a resolved request. Thank you so much! The customizable search results pages for different searches are gold and so easy to do with this plugin. Going to give you five stars!
