Support » Plugin: Translate WordPress with GTranslate » Suggestion: Default text for source language

    Hey,

there should be an option to set a default text that is displayed next to the source language (https://imgur.com/a/kQHbMMT). Otherwise the users might get confused if they want to view the original page.

    And another good practice is:

    (1) to translate only if the user selects a language (another option)
    (2) to avoid translations if source language = target language. doGTranslate(‘en|en’) should display the original page and omit translation to avoid problems.

    (1) should be fixed if (2) is implemented if im correct.

    Best regards

    Hi,

The original has a different background as a hint.

You may customize everything from Widget Code section.

    1. That is the case if you have not turned Detect browser language option
    2. That is the case

    Thanks! 🙂

    Hey,

D’oh! Didnt notice it. Thought it was the currently active language. However, I added “(Original)” behind the source language. Now it should be more clear.

1./2.) My bad! Seems like there was a conflict with another plugin or settings. My original website was translated to the source language (from el to el) and there were some strange outputs… 😛 It’s working now.

    Thanks for replying!
