• Hello,

I was updating several pages on my website on Monday and suddenly started getting a 403 Forbidden message. But it seems it’s only happening on my “events” page and not on updates to any other pages. I’ve done updates on my events page in the past so I’m not sure why I’m suddenly “forbidden” to do so.

    The 403 message reads:

Access is forbidden to the requested page:
    storytellingtoronto.org/wp-admin/post.php (port 80)

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • If you have some kind of security plugin installed, see to it that it’s configured properly.

Check file permission (do this only if you know how to SFTP to the site)

    Changing File Permissions

Check .htaccess , we can just delete it (or save it somewhere) and then visit permalink setting page and click save, WP will regenerate a new one.

How would permissions have been changed? I am the only one updating the website and have not had problems updating this page in the past.
