Subtle adjustments to Neve Theme

Hello,

I have been trying to figure out how to delete Footer Widget areas 3 and 4 from the Neve theme. The reason I want to do this is because the elements do not justify correctly as there are two phantom widget areas being used in the justification calculation.

I have very carefully exhausted all Footer Widget area settings via the Customization and Footer layout angles, and have come to the conclusion it will require a CSS mod. I did come across one thread where a user accidentally Footer Widget 3 area, and instructions on how to restore it followed, but the same capabilities are not present in the current iteration of the Neve theme.

Any help or suggestions would be welcome.
