Substring of Slug

    Hi there,

    I would like to generate a form submission ID by taking the first two characters of the name and surname of the person and combining it with the date. I was wondering if it is possible to request a substring of a slug for example:
    first_name = Josh
    substring(%first_name%,(0,2)) = Jo

    Alright, I came up with an alternative solution of using the time-stamp at form submission. I’d still be interested to know if there is a way of doing this though.
