Hi Scott
To check whether my site is properly sending emails I inserted the MailPoet Popup Form into your popup:
<iframe width=”100%” height=”100%” scrolling=”no” frameborder=”0″ src=”https://focusingonwildlife.com/news?mailpoet_form_iframe=3″ class=”mailpoet_form_iframe” id=”mailpoet_form_iframe” vspace=”0″ tabindex=”0″ onload=”if(window[‘MailPoet’]) MailPoet.Iframe.autoSize(this);” marginwidth=”0″ marginheight=”0″ hspace=”0″ allowtransparency=”true”></iframe>
Subscription mails were correctly sent, arrived at the subscribers email box and could be confirmed without any problem.
This is not the ideal solution for me because I find the design of your popup coupled with the MailPoet Opt-in box far superior. It is a pity that it doesn’t send the subscription emails.
Please advise how I can resolve this issue.
As a further test I installed WP Mail SMTP, created a GMail API and successfully sent a test mail to verify the functionality of the GMail API.
However the subscription email from the Holler Box plugin did not arrive.
Please test the popup on the following URL and advise how to resolve this issue:

Hi, are you saying that the opt-in confirmation email is not arriving? Are users being added to the list?
Hi Scott
Yes, the opt-in emails are not arriving. Therefore they are not being added to the subscriber lists (because they have not been verified).
As stated above I can get the emails to arrive by including the MailPoet subscription iFrame into the pop up (see code above).
But then I don’t have the great styling which is given by checking the MailPoet opt-in box in the settings.
I can give you access to the admin backend if that would help.
Please advise.
I just ran a test, and everything is working fine for me with the newest version of Holler Box and MailPoet 3. If you have double opt-in confirmation, the user will be added to the list as “unconfirmed” and an email will be sent out.
If you are having trouble sending email, try adding an smtp email plugin.
Hi Scott
I have the newest version of Holler Box and double opt-in confirmation in the settings. Try subscribing on the following page to convince yourself that our problem still exists:

I can give you admin access to the website if that would help? To which email address should I send the login details?
Please advise.

@scottopolis I’ve deleted your offer to login to your user’s site. I’m am 100% sure you mean well but please never ask for credentials on these forums.

Now for the why: The internet is a wonderful place full of very nice people and a few very bad ones. I’m sure everyone here is very nice however, by giving some ones keys to your house you are trusting they wont steal anything. Likewise the person who takes the keys is now responsible for the house FOREVER.
If something was to go wrong, then you the author may well legally become liable for damages, which they would not normally have been as their software is provided without warranty.
Please be aware that repeatedly asking for credentials will result in us asking you to repeatedly stop before escalating up to the plugins team.
