    Hi Andy!

When I test the pop up, I don’t receive confirmation email that a user that subscribed is supposed to receive.

When I put a tick in the field

“Subscription confirmation Send new subscribers a confirmation email”

and press “Save Settings”, it doesn’t save this tick, and the field is empty again.

    Any advice?

    Thank you very much,

    Kate

  • Hi Kate –

Thank you for reporting the issue. You found a bug and we’ll fix it soon, most likely in the next version. I’ll make sure to circle back on this thread when we push the fix to the plugin directory so you can update the plugin and check out the subscription confirmation.

    Thanks!

Hopefully by the end of the day tomorrow. Thanks for your patience and sorry for the issue.

    No problem. It is understandable.

    Thanks for the update!

    Hi Kate –

I thought I fixed this in the last update, and assumed perhaps I had forgot to include the patched code in the last update based off you bug. I just ran a few tests on WordPress sites I manage running Leadin 2.2.0 and the checkbox seems to be toggling correctly.

What version of the plugin are you using if you don’t mind me asking?

    Thanks!

Whoops – spoke too soon. The short of it is we were checking the wrong flag for the subscription confirmation checkbox, so if you had the popup toggled to show on the homepage, the confirmation checkbox worked, but if you had the homepage popup toggled off, then the subscription confirmation didn’t work correctly.

We’ll be including the fix for this bug in the next version of the plugin which hopefully goes out to the repository tonight.

    Thanks again for reporting it!

    Hi Kate –

This bug should be fixed in version 2.2.1 which launched last night. Please let me know if it doesn’t work for you and I’ll investigate more. For now, I’m going to mark this ticket as closed and thanks again for the help.

    Hi Andy!

I appreciate your efforts and following up with me on this. But it does seem to work. The issue is still there. The confirmation settings are not being saved.

    Any help would be great!

    Thanks a lot,

    Kate

    Looks like you’re right!

We wrote the fix, but forgot to include it in the last update. That’s embarrassing… and sorry.

The good news is we know what the issue is, it’s already fixed, and we’ll definitely be including it in the next version of the plugin.

Thank you for the follow up and rereporting the bug.
