Hello there,
I checked in to your website but I could not find the sidebar and after posts form implemented there. May be you removed it. I would like to ask if there was any particular error text you were getting when you clicked subscribe button. There may be multiple reasons it might not be working.
First please review your form settings and save it even if there are no changes to be made. Then see if the issue persists then please check if there is a green tick mark or a red X mark besides the MailChimp API key field. Then enter a newly generated API key from MailChimp into the API field in Form Settings and check if that solves the issue.
If the issue persists, then there might be conflict in between Optin Cat and your theme or other plugin. Please get back to me with the details and I would reply back with steps to isolate the conflict if the issue still occurs.

I had temporarily removed them, they’re back up for now.
I’ve tried the steps you recommended. There was a green tick next to the API field after generating a new one, but it has had no effect.
I’m using Genesis Metro theme, latest update.
I tried disabling all plugins apart from the the optin cat plugin already.
Hello there,
Most likely there is a conflict in between Optin Cat and another piece of software that might well be your theme. Can you please revert back to a default theme like “Twenty Seventeen” or “Twenty Sixteen” and see if the issue persists and get back to us with the information.

I’m having issues with getting subscribers. I tried setting up another API Key. My list is all setup. The error I get is “x Error: Can’t add user”
Hello there,
@alicewilliam Your symptoms sound quite different from the above poster, for future reference we suggest you make a new thread unless your issue is exactly identical to another persons. The troubleshooting steps for each of your issues may vary.
As for the issue you are experiencing, that could be caused by a few things. I’d like to inspect one of your forms in person, if you could please provide a link to where I can see one, that would be a big help.
Also, we want to make sure the settings are correct. Please re-enter your MailChimp API Key, and make sure you get a green check, and have a list selected. Also make sure that you are testing the forms with a valid email that is not already part of your lists. MailChimp may deny some emails, if they contain keywords like ‘test’, or ‘info’ as those are usually autoresponders.
If the issue persists, try resetting your API key with MailChimp, and see if your results vary with a new one.
Let us know your results, and we’ll see what else we can do if needed.

Hi Jeremy,
Here is one of the page where the form is embeded: http://www.walkinginword.com/lessons-from-joel-discovering-a-god-of-second-chances/
I generated a new API from MailChimp, got the green check mark and was able to select the List. I am trying using one of my emails. It doesn’t have test in it nor is it a dummy email.
Hello again,
@alicewilliam It may be the case of a conflict in between Optin Cat and your active theme or other active plugins. To search for conflicts, please follow these steps.
1. First please deactivate all plugins except Optin Cat and see if the issue persists.
2. If the issue is resolved, reactivate your plugins one by one to see if the issue returns.
3. If no conflict is found among your plugins, try reverting to a default WP theme like ‘Twenty Sixteen’, or ‘Twenty Seventeen’, and see if the issue is resolved.
If you find a conflict with a plugin or theme, please let us know and I would also advise you to contact the author of the theme or plugin to see if they can solve the issue.
Let us know if you have any other questions.
