I knew there was an email, but couldn’t find it anywhere.
Just emailed them, thanks a lot.
Unless things have changed, plugins are inspected line-by-line and approved or declined by one human volunteer, so delays are to be expected (especially with the influx of new plugins taking advantage of WP 3’s release).
Line by line?
How can it be inspected line by line if I have not submitted my code at all yet? The plugin request page doesn’t include any field for that.
All I added was its name, it’s description, and a URL of it running on my website. No code available yet. :\
Well, the time that the one volunteer spends inspecting code certainly takes away from the time available to approve new plugin account requests. It’s all done on a first come first served basis.
My first plugin request was approved in 18 hours. My most recent request has been in queue since July 8th – 10 days now.
Is the approval queue just really backed up now?
Woha, so apparently I have nothing to worry about.
Do I get emailed when my request has been processed? Or do I have to check the requests page every so often?
You will receive an email when the request is approved. I can’t say for sure whether you will get one if it’s rejected.
It was approved yesterday.
Thanks everyone. 🙂
